Nottingham Forest boss Nuno admits result is disappointing

Nottingham Forest lost 2-0 to Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley, and manager Nuno Espirito Santo admitted he was disappointed with the result, but still won applause and respect.

At the post-match press conference, Nuno said: "We are disappointed, but also very proud. After the final whistle, the fans still stayed in the stands to applaud the team. This support is moving."

In this significant game, more than 35,000 Forest fans poured into the stadium to witness the team's first FA Cup semi-final since 1991. Looking back on the game, Nuno said: "The team encountered some difficulties at the beginning, but quickly adjusted its tactics and gradually created opportunities."

" Facing a top opponent like Manchester City, every small gap will be infinitely magnified, but the players tried their best and always believed that opportunities would appear."

Despite failing to advance to the FA Cup final, Nuno stressed that the team must quickly adjust their mentality and focus on the final stage of the Premier League: "It will be difficult tonight, but when we wake up tomorrow, we know that there are still five key battles to play and we still have many goals to strive for."

Talking about the challenges of player health and match density, Nuno admitted that it is not easy to maintain the state in the high-intensity confrontation, but the team will continue to persevere and fight to the end. Nuno said: "It is an honor and motivation to play in front of so many fans. We will keep moving forward for the fans and for ourselves."

With the FA Cup journey over, Nottingham Forest will devote all its efforts to the final stage of the Premier League and fight for a higher ranking. Currently, Nottingham Forest ranks sixth in the league with 60 points and strives to qualify for the Champions League next season.
