Cremonese announced on its official website Thursday that the club has signed Torino's vice-captain, Paraguay international center-forward Antonio Sanabria.
According to Cremonese's official statement, Sanabria has signed on a three-year deal which runs until the summer of 2028.
In addition, according to Sky Sports' resident renowned Italian transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the newly promoted Serie A club paid a transfer fee of €2.5 million to I Granata to sign Sanabria.
About Antonio Sanabria
Born on March 4, 1996, in San Lorenzo, Paraguay, Sanabria, 29, is 1.80 meters tall and plays center-forward. He holds dual Paraguayan and Spanish citizenship.
As a child, Sanabria played in the youth academy of Paraguayan powerhouse Cerro Porteno. At the age of 13, he joined Barcelona's renowned La Masia youth academy. He began playing for Barcelona's B team in 2013, but chose not to stay due to fierce competition for spots in the first-team.
The following January, Sanabria joined Sassuolo for €4.5 million.
In July 2014, Sanabria moved to Roma for €6.5 million. However, due to a full foreign player quota, he did not get a chance to play.
The following August, Sanabria was loaned-out to Sporting Gijon.
In July 2016, Sanabria joined Real Betis for €7.5 million.
During his three-and-a-half-year spell with Los Verdiblancos, Sanabria scored the winning goal at Santiago Bernabéu, securing Real Betis' first away win against Los Blancos since October 1998.
In January 2019, Sanabria was loaned-out to Genoa for a year and a half. During this spell, he helped the club reach the round of 16s of the Coppa Italia once.
At the end of January 2021, Sanabria joined Torino for €6 million.
During his four-and-a-half-year spell with I Granata, Sanabria made 143 appearances for the Serie A club in all competitions, scoring 30 goals and providing 11 assists.
