Reece James stated that Chelsea displayed a positive attitude against Premier League leaders Arsenal. Although the team failed to secure points despite playing with ten men and ultimately suffered a defeat, the match clearly demonstrated the team's significant improvement and its continued potential competitiveness.  

Amidst the intense derby atmosphere at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea delivered a stellar performance. Despite playing with a man advantage after Moises Caicedo's red card at halftime, the away team maintained relentless pressure and continued their attacking momentum. Chelsea did not retreat defensively despite being down a man; instead, they intensified their offensive efforts. Ultimately, Trevor Chalobah headed in a corner kick from Reece James to give Chelsea the lead.  

Although the team ultimately only managed a 1-1 draw, the match left the captain with mixed feelings. This point was hard-won, but it also meant the team missed a golden opportunity to take all three points. After the game, Reece James said, "I'm proud of the team. We have a young squad, but we still played very tough against the Premier League leaders."

We held on for 60 minutes with one less player and had to deal with the pressure from the entire opposing team. They are a strong team and the current league leaders. We were able to compete with them, so this game gave us a lot to learn from.”  

“We started the game well and created some chances, but the game became much more difficult after we had a player sent off. We made the necessary adjustments, and our opponents continued to put pressure on us. However, we still believe that our squad and ability are enough to pose a threat when we have possession. We have given our all, and now we can only accept this point and move on.”  

Despite only securing a point in this match, Reece James stated that the team's recent performances have proven their ability to compete against the strongest opponents. This draw comes shortly after their 3-0 Champions League victory over Barcelona, following a three-game winning streak in the Premier League.
