Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praised the team's resilience.

Thanks to Saliba's goal and a tenacious second-half comeback, Arsenal defeated Chelsea 2-1 at home, winning a crucial London derby.

After this match, Arsenal's lead in the Premier League standings has been extended to 5 points, and they have maintained an impressive 9-game unbeaten run in all competitions.

In this match, Arsenal took the lead through Saliba's goal, but in first-half stoppage time, Capie inadvertently scored an own goal, resulting in a 1-1 draw at halftime. Despite this setback before halftime, Arsenal displayed remarkable mental fortitude, regaining control in the second half, with Jorian Timber's goal sealing the victory.

In a post-match interview, head coach Mikel Arteta praised the players' mental resilience. He stated, "The timing of the goal was a huge blow, but we responded emotionally in the right way."

“We were in the same situation seven days ago against Tottenham, and we learned from that. I told the players to look at what happened in the second half, and we tried to generate the same rhythm of the game.”

Facing a packed schedule of 44 matches already played this season, Arteta added: "Winning these important derbies is very difficult, and the competitive drive and consistency these players have shown is simply incredible. We need to recover well now and maintain this energy for Wednesday's challenge."

After defeating two strong teams, Tottenham and Chelsea, Arsenal will travel to Brighton on Wednesday. The team remains active in the Premier League, Champions League, League Cup, and FA Cup, and with their top spot secured, Arsenal are steadily progressing towards their goal of a season-ending slam.
