Burnley scored three goals in the final eight minutes of the first half, completely turning the tide and erasing Crystal Palace's earlier 2-0 lead.

Despite Crystal Palace dominating the second half and creating some threatening chances, the visitors ultimately held on for the victory. Maxence Lacroix, making his 80th appearance for Crystal Palace, said the way the team conceded goals made the night particularly frustrating.

Maxence Lacroix said: "I think the team was not focused for about 10 minutes, and during that time we conceded three goals. I think that was a big mistake we made, and we are quite frustrated with the result."
