Marco Silva is well aware of Fulham's poor record against Manchester City in recent years, but he emphasizes that every match is an opportunity to change history. Although Fulham has never won in their 16 previous Premier League encounters with Manchester City, Marco Silva believes this doesn't mean the outcome of the next match is already predetermined.  

The manager stated bluntly: "The situation is indeed very bad, not only for Fulham, but also for me personally. It's a terrible record, that's the fact. But every game is an opportunity to rewrite the record, it's that simple. The facts are so clear, what more can you say? Of course, I can talk about the details of the game, the key moments, and even my experience managing the team since I started, but I don't think it's necessary."  

"The facts and statistics are clear: our record is not ideal. But every game is an opportunity to change things, and that's the essence of football. My focus is on getting the players and the team fully prepared so they can be in top form for this tough match against Manchester City."  

Manchester City will come into this match with high morale, having just completed a stunning comeback against Liverpool, ending a long-standing away winless streak against the opposition. This was City's first victory at Anfield, in front of Liverpool fans, since 2003. A win on Wednesday would reduce the gap with league leaders Arsenal to three points.  

Marco Silva continued: "As they showed yesterday, they are back on track and ready to fight to the last minute. You could see their reactions and the way they celebrated at the end of the game, which clearly demonstrated how eager they are to keep the Premier League title race going until the very end of the season."  

“But we also have our own goals and we want to fight for them. This will be a very demanding game for us. Manchester City were able to come back like that at Anfield and react in the last 10 minutes to change the course of the game. Anfield is perhaps one of the toughest away games in Manchester City’s history, and it is for Guardiola as well. They ended that bad record and won a game that was crucial for them.”
