Following Leicester City's 1-0 victory over Charlton Athletic, Abdel Fattah said he would use the coming weeks to continue building his strength. The winger felt the support of the visiting fans throughout the match, especially during crucial moments when the opposition was pressing and attempting an equalizer, as Leicester City gave their all.  

Abdel Fattah said: "I think this game belongs to the fans. The atmosphere was very enthusiastic and they injected more energy into us. We are very happy to get three points away from home."  

“It was a fantastic game. The opponent was very threatening from set pieces and we responded very well. The fans gave us great energy and every player defended with all their might, which helped us win the three points. We are very happy about this and thoroughly enjoyed the game.”

Just three minutes into the first half, Abdel Fattah made his signature cut inside from the right and fired a powerful left-footed shot into the top corner. It was his first goal since missing most of last season due to a cruciate ligament injury, and it made all the difficulties he had previously endured worthwhile.  

The 21-year-old added: "It was a very difficult moment and I had to make a decision because the team needed a goal to win the game. Luckily, my choice paid off and the goal gave us the three points."
