Paris Saint-Germain beat Aston Villa 5-4 on aggregate and advanced to the Champions League semi-finals. Player Achraf Hakimi was happy about it.
In the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals, PSG won 3-1. In the second leg, goals from Hakimi and Nuno Mendes helped PSG take the lead. However, Aston Villa caught up and PSG lost to Aston Villa 2-3.
Fortunately, PSG's performance in the first leg allowed the team to successfully advance to the Champions League semi-finals. In the post-match interview, Hakimi was happy about the result of advancing to the semi-finals and said: "First of all, we are very happy. All Parisians should be happy."
"We completed the task. Although we didn't win the game, we advanced successfully. This is our goal of this trip and we are happy about it. But we must admit that we didn't want to achieve it in such a difficult way."
"These types of games are necessary, and experiencing pain is part of the game. There are no such things as easy games in this tournament. We did experience many difficult moments today, but we know how to deal with them. We must stay focused because there are still many tough games to come and we cannot relax at all."
"Our fans always show up on time. Thank you to all the fans who showed up to support us. From the group stage to the knockout stage, you have always been with us, whether away or in Paris. We cherish your company very much and hope to continue to feel your support in the future. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!"
