Alavés signs forward Mariano Diaz until 2027

After completing pre-season training at Alaves, striker Mariano Diaz officially joined the team. Alaves and Mariano Diaz have reached an agreement on his contract, which will last until 2027.
Mariano Diaz, born on August 1, 1993, has extensive experience in top-flight professional football. Coming through the Real Madrid youth system, he joined the first team in the 2016-17 season, scoring five goals in 14 appearances.
After playing for Olympique Lyonnais for two seasons, he returned to Real Madrid and won many major honors with the team, including three La Liga titles, two Champions League titles, a Copa del Rey, two Club World Cups, a European Super Cup and two Spanish Super Cups.
Mariano Diaz also holds Dominican citizenship and has made his international debut for the Dominican national team.
Mariano Díaz joined Alaves last July and is currently undergoing pre-season training with the team. He recently scored two goals for the Vitoria-Gasteiz team in friendly matches. As a striker, he possesses exceptional speed, strength, accurate shooting, and excellent aerial ability, all of which will be crucial in supporting the manager's tactical system.
