Despite Chelsea's narrow 2-3 defeat in the first leg of the League Cup semi-final, winger Alejandro Ganacho remained confident that his team still had a chance to overturn Arsenal's deficit over the two legs. Coming on as a substitute in the second half, he immediately displayed excellent form, repaying manager Liam Rossenier's trust with a brace to ultimately help his team defeat Arsenal.  

Alejandro Ganacho's two goals both came at the far post: a powerful close-range shot and a volley, both helping Chelsea equalize. While disappointed that his team failed to take more points in the first leg to North London, he was pleased to have helped narrow the gap. The 21-year-old winger believes Chelsea have a chance to mount a strong comeback against Arsenal in the second leg at the Emirates Stadium.  

After the match, Alejandro Ganacho said, "I always try my best, and today I came on as a substitute and scored a goal for the team. Every striker wants to score, but my primary task is to do my best to help the team win the game."  

“I gave it my all today, but I still feel it wasn’t enough. However, the game is not over yet, and the outcome is still uncertain; we are currently only one goal apart. We understand the difficulty of playing at the Emirates Stadium, but we also know the team’s strength and potential. We must go all out to meet the challenge.”  

Whether starting or coming off the bench, Alejandro Ganacho has always been clear about his role in the team and is always ready to contribute to Chelsea when needed, as demonstrated by his outstanding performance last night.  

He continued, "Sometimes I start, sometimes I'm on the bench. Substitutes are just as important as starters, and all I can do is give it my all. I believe the team still has a chance, and we will do everything we can. My purpose here is to contribute to the team in any way I can."  

“We always aim to win, so losing is naturally disappointing. Although we started a bit slowly, our performance improved significantly in the second half. Now, we must give it our all in the second leg.”  

Speaking about Liam Rossellini's first week in charge of Chelsea, Alejandro Ganacho said he thoroughly enjoyed learning from the new manager. He said, "He's brought some changes to the team, but we're still the same team, the same group, and everyone remains united."
