The Andalusian defender reached a major milestone against Sevilla FC. In the recent 4-2 home win over Sevilla, Alfonso Pedraza made his 200th official appearance for Villarreal's first team.  

After more than a year of injury problems, Alfonso Pedraza has completed an exciting personal journey as he returned to the field this season, not only returning to the team, but also achieving impressive results, demonstrating his perseverance and determination.  

The defender from Cordoba came through the Villarreal youth system and joined the club's academy at the age of 15.  

Today, he becomes the 22nd player in the club's history to reach 200 appearances for Villarreal in the top flight. Only Gerard Moreno, Daniel Parejo and Raul Albiol have surpassed this milestone in the current squad.  

Alfonso Pedraza said: "This is one of the most important moments in my career. I am very proud to play for the team that I have loved since I was a child. I would like to thank the club, the coaching staff and my teammates for their support, which enabled me to overcome difficulties and continue to pursue my football dream."  

At the celebration ceremony held in Villarreal, club president Fernando Roig personally presented Alfonso Pedraza with a gold badge and commemorative jersey in recognition of his contribution to the club.
