Alphonse Areola is confident that West Ham United will be a formidable team under new manager Nuno Espirito Santo, a veteran of Portugal, Spain, Saudi Arabia and England, known for building defensively solid and difficult-to-break teams.  

In more than 500 official matches, West Ham United has conceded just over one goal per game. Since Nuno Espirito Santo took over, the team's defensive system has been significantly solid, and they have repeatedly frustrated the forwards of Everton and Arsenal.  

Goalkeeper Alphonse Areola has also played a key role in the team's improvement, making numerous crucial saves and maintaining solid control of the six-yard box from corner kicks. This area of play was a flaw that cost West Ham United points earlier in the season. Despite only collecting one point from their last two difficult away games, the French goalkeeper remains confident that Nuno Espirito Santo's tactical philosophy will bear fruit in the coming weeks and months.  

Alphonse Areola said: "This new energy has given the team more stability. We have seen positive changes, but we still need to work harder on the field to win more points."  

“Nuno Espirito Santo wants to build a competitive team and we need to build on that and stay close to the fans. They will give us great support this year and the most important task right now is to get points. The team is at a new stage and we must use the international break to continue to improve ourselves and prepare for the next game.”  

In the next round, West Ham United will face Brentford, where Nuno Espirito Santo will make his home debut in front of the home fans. Alphonse Areola said he and his teammates will translate the coach's philosophy into action, striving to build a team that the fans can be proud of and continue to improve their position in the Premier League standings.  

Alphonse Areola said: "Nuno Espirito Santo has made it clear that the team must have a strong fighting spirit. We must go all out in every game, strive to win points, and re-establish a close connection with the fans. The fans play an important role in every stage of the team and they are always fully committed. What we have to do now is to perform on the court, satisfy everyone and stay away from the relegation zone."
