Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund has denied rumours that Harry Kane is about to leave the club. "That's not a problem," he said in an exclusive interview with the Munich Evening News (Abendzeitung).
"Kane is not affected by the departure of his England team-mate Eric Dier from Bayern Munich," Freund added. "Kane is well respected within the team and gets along well with the players. He is in his best form and has fully integrated into life in Munich, living a fulfilling and orderly life."
Freund's statement effectively responded to recent rumors that Kane might leave the team. It was previously reported that there was a termination clause in Kane's contract with Bayern, allowing him to leave the team for 54 million pounds in January 2026. Since the disclosure of this clause, it has attracted great attention from many giants such as Manchester United, but Kane does not seem to have any plans to transfer in the short term. According to people familiar with the matter, Kane has adapted well to Bayern and is living a very happy life. His next goal is to help Bayern win the Bundesliga title again and launch an impact on the Champions League trophy.
The 31-year-old Kane came from Tottenham Hotspur's youth training and mainly played as a center forward. He played for Tottenham's first team for 12 seasons, scoring 280 goals and providing 63 assists in 435 games.
In August 2023, Kane joined Bayern Munich from Tottenham for 95 million euros. To date, he has made 89 appearances for Bayern, contributing 80 goals and 24 assists, and won the first Bundesliga championship in his career with the team.
