Bournemouth confirmed the signing of Ferencváros midfielder Alex Tote in a statement on Tuesday. He will wear the number 27 shirt at Bournemouth on a contract until June 30, 2031.

Tot will become the second Hungarian player to play for Bournemouth, following Hungarian international Milos Kelkaez. His fixed transfer fee is rumored to be as high as €12 million, plus €3 million in add-ons.

The 20-year-old Tot came through the Ferencváros youth academy and made his first-team debut in the Hungarian First Division on May 20, 2023. He was then loaned to Defenders Budapest for a season, during which he made 23 appearances in the Hungarian Second Division.

Since February 2024, Tot's tactical role at Ferencváros has gradually risen. To date, he has made 60 appearances for Ferencváros, scoring 4 goals and providing 15 assists, winning two Hungarian First Division titles with the team.

Thanks to his consistent performances at the club level, Tot has been called up to the national team since March 2025. To date, he has made a total of 9 appearances for the Hungarian national team, without scoring a goal or providing an assist.

Regarding Tot's arrival, Bournemouth's Director of Football Operations, Thiago Pinto, commented: "I am delighted to bring such a talented young man as Alex to the club and look forward to working with him."
