Bayern Munich maintained their dominance in the second half. In the 78th minute, Kane's long, diagonal pass found Diaz in the frontcourt. Diaz's shot, which was half-pass and half-shot, was blocked by Job Bellingham just off the line. Just as Bellingham was about to clear the ball, Oliseh scrambled in and fired home, making the score 2-0 for Bayern.

In the 84th minute, Julian Reilsen sent a cross from the right, and Julian Brandt, who had just come on as a substitute, kicked the ball in to help Dortmund equalize. After that, neither side made any progress, and Bayern still won the first leg of this season's national derby 2-1.
