Bayern Munich and Freiburg traded attacks from the start, creating several scoring opportunities. Unexpectedly, just 20 seconds later, Bayern broke through Freiburg's defense: Karl delivered a cross from the right, and Bischoff unleashed a long-range shot from the edge of the box that nestled into the top corner. In the second minute of stoppage time in the second half, Bischoff received a cross from Olise in the attacking third and repeated the tactic, scoring again with a long-range shot to equalize the score.

In the 9th minute of second-half stoppage time, Alphonso Davies crossed from the left side of the penalty area, and Karl finished with a close-range shot to seal the victory. Thanks to Karl's crucial goal, Bayern Munich ultimately secured three valuable points away from home.
