After Valencia defeated Sporting Gijón in the Copa del Rey, head coach Carlos Colberán gave an interview to the media.  

The head coach stated, "The most crucial element is always the players themselves. Our collaboration with psychology experts isn't about directly influencing goal-scoring statistics, but rather about helping players cope with various situations throughout their matches and careers. The club has an excellent professional team that provides long-term support to the players. Lucas Beltran's performance has been particularly satisfying; he consistently maintains a high level of commitment and focus, bringing significant value to the team whether starting or coming off the bench. We are delighted to work with him."  

"Our basic tactical system is 4-4-2. In some situations, the positioning of the opponent's full-backs will force our wingers to drop back and participate in the defense, which may make it seem like we are using a five-defender system, but our original intention has always been a four-defender system. The team must maintain enough flexibility and make timely adjustments according to the progress of the game."  

"The last game at Wanda Metropolitano Stadium was more difficult due to the absence of several players. Arnautovic Danjuma missed training yesterday due to ankle discomfort and will therefore be unavailable today. Grigorievski was in poor physical condition and was subsequently diagnosed with an injury. As for Komert, we judged after the game a few days ago that it would be difficult for him to return to team training."  

"The lineup wasn't complicated because the other players were eager to contribute and were willing to start. We then adjusted the lineup based on the players' training load. With three games a week, 72 hours of recovery time isn't enough to fully prepare for the next game, so we had to closely monitor each player's condition to ensure they were ready for the upcoming match."  

When discussing Arnault Danjuma's situation, he said, "The next few hours will be crucial, and we cannot completely rule out his participation in Saturday's match. He is experiencing discomfort in the tendon area where the ankle ligaments connect, and we will continue to monitor the injury. He will likely be unable to participate in training tomorrow, and we will assess whether he can resume full training before the match."
