Chelsea announced on their official website on Tuesday that reserve goalkeeper, Belgium U21s international goalkeeper Mike Penders, will join sister club Strasbourg on-loan.
According to the Ligue 1 dark horse's official statement, Penders will play with the club on-loan until the end of the new season, with no buyout clause.
About Mike Penders
Mike Penders, 19, was born on July 31, 2005, in Maasmechelen, Belgium. He is 2.0 meters tall and plays as a goalkeeper.
Penders joined Genk's youth academy at the age of 13 and completed his Genk first-team debut in July 2024, becoming the third-youngest goalkeeper in Jupiler Pro League history. During this time, he helped the club reach the semi-finals of the Belgian Cup.
Penders joined Chelsea last August for £17 million.
