Colombian attacker John Arias officially joins Wolves and will wear the No. 10 jersey

Wolves officially announced on Thursday that John Arias has transferred from Fluminense. The two parties signed a contract until June 30, 2029, with an option for a one-year extension.
The official also revealed that Arias will wear the No. 10 jersey next season.
It is reported that the fixed fee for this transaction is 17 million euros. If the floating clause is included, Arias' transfer fee can reach up to 22 million euros. Fluminense said that it will retain 10% of the player's secondary transfer share.
Arias, 27, is an all-around attacker who has emerged in Colombia in recent years. He can play in multiple positions such as right midfielder, right winger, left midfielder, attacking midfielder, left winger, etc. He has played for Boyaca Patriot, Llaneros, America de Cali and Independiente Santa Fe, and transferred to Fluminense for 600,000 euros in August 2021.
To date, Arias has made 230 appearances for Fluminense, scoring 47 goals and providing 55 assists, winning the 2022/23 Copa Libertadores, the 2023/24 Copa Sudamericana and two Rio de Janeiro State League titles (21/22, 22/23) with the team.
