Dutch Counter Strike 2 powerhouse Liquid announced on Saturday via its official X (Twitter) account that its ace rifler, Twistzz, will be leaving the team after FISSURE Playground Season 2. American powerhouse FaZe also announced that the player will be rejoining their roster.
According to Liquid's official statement, the organization is grateful for Twistzz's flexibility over the past two years, allowing him to adapt to the role the team requires him to play and strive for his best in every match. The revised roster will be announced later.
FaZe announced that Twistzz will officially return to the team's roster for ESL Pro League Season 22.
Many fans felt Twistzz's departure was unfair.
Liquid lost to FURIA 2-1 in the opening group stage match of FISSURE Playground Season 2 this week.
Since finishing in the top 8 at the Perfect World Shanghai Major, Liquid's entire roster has struggled throughout the first half of 2025. Not only did they fail at the BLAST.tv Austin Major, but they now appear to be missing out at the Starladder Budapest Major in late November. Throughout this period, Twistzz's individual performances has been widely considered the team's best.
For FaZe fans, Twistzz's return is mixed. While fans hope his return will inspire him to regain his peak form, there are also concerns that his return will lead to Rain's benching.
