On October 6th , the Warriors defeated the Lakers 111-103 in the 2025 preseason, getting off to a winning start. Stephen Curry scored 14 points in just 15 minutes , showing excellent form. His shooting was fiery, going 3- for- 5 from three- point range , and he seemed to be in regular-season mode. Coach Steve Kerr stated before the game that Curry, Butler, and Green would only play in the first half.

New player Jimmy Butler also had a comprehensive performance, scoring 9 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists; Draymond Green was a little unfamiliar, scoring only 2 points in the whole game, but contributed 5 assists and 3 rebounds.

The most outstanding player in this game was Moses Moody , who scored 19 points and made 5 of 7 three-pointers . He was the team's leading scorer and also helped the team establish a lead in the first quarter.

The Warriors used a small starting lineup, and Kerr sent new player Al Horford off the bench. Horford immediately demonstrated his veteran value, completing two assists and three blocks, becoming a defensive barrier in his debut.

In the second half, the young players took over. Bodemski, Moody, Kuminga, and new signing Post frequently hit three-pointers, showcasing their excellent perimeter firepower and team-building offense.
