David Pejčić has joined Maribor FC on loan from Udinese. The 18-year-old midfielder, capable of playing in various positions, has agreed to play for Maribor until the end of the 2025-26 season.  

David Pejčić began his professional career in Slovenia, playing for Bilbao and Gorizia before joining Udinese in January 2021. He has been a key member of the Slovenia youth national team, making 38 appearances and scoring eight goals. He also made his senior debut in a cup competition while playing in the Serie A Youth League. Now, he is ready for a new challenge at youth level.  

Maribor's head of football operations, Cem Bashgur, said of the signings made in the final stages of the transfer window: "David Pejčić joins us on loan from Udinese. He is a very talented player and we have been following his development for a long time. We believe that he can show his value in this league."

I firmly believe that he has the quality to represent Slovenia on a long-term basis, both at youth level and in the future with the senior national team. We are confident that this signing will be an important milestone in his career and look forward to him unleashing his potential at the club.”
