David Pejčić to join Maribor on loan

David Pejčić has joined Maribor FC on loan from Udinese. The 18-year-old midfielder, capable of playing in various positions, has agreed to play for Maribor until the end of the 2025-26 season.
David Pejčić began his professional career in Slovenia, playing for Bilbao and Gorizia before joining Udinese in January 2021. He has been a key member of the Slovenia youth national team, making 38 appearances and scoring eight goals. He also made his senior debut in a cup competition while playing in the Serie A Youth League. Now, he is ready for a new challenge at youth level.
Maribor's head of football operations, Cem Bashgur, said of the signings made in the final stages of the transfer window: "David Pejčić joins us on loan from Udinese. He is a very talented player and we have been following his development for a long time. We believe that he can show his value in this league."

I firmly believe that he has the quality to represent Slovenia on a long-term basis, both at youth level and in the future with the senior national team.
