On October 10th , the NBA preseason continued, and the Chicago Bulls defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 119-112 at home. Although Mobley led the Cavaliers with three players scoring 20+ points, he was still unable to lead the team to victory.

The Cavaliers took the lead early in the game, with Mitchell and Mobley scoring from inside and outside, briefly building a double-digit lead. The Bulls quickly adjusted, with Dosunmu and Giddy leading the charge. The first quarter ended with the game tied 32-32 . In the second quarter, the Bulls stepped up their defense, with Carter and Buzelis scoring to put them ahead. Despite the Cavaliers' response, led by Hunter and Tyson, they still trailed 47-50 at halftime .

After the break, the two teams engaged in a back-and-forth battle, with the Bulls' early offensive surge taking the lead again. The Cavaliers quickly overtook the score thanks to Mobley's inside attack and a Mitchell three-pointer. Late in the quarter, the Bulls, with the consistent play of Giddy and Jones, reclaimed the advantage, leading 87-86 after three quarters .

In the final quarter, the Bulls' offense and defense were more stable, with Dosunmu and Giddy scoring consecutively, and Smith and Collins grabbing key rebounds to extend their lead. Although the Cavaliers relied on Mitchell and Mobley to catch up, their shooting percentage declined, and the Bulls ultimately won 119-112 .
