Everton Football Club officially announced that the team has signed former Wolves goalkeeper Tom King for two years, which will last until June 30, 2027.  

After completing the permanent signings of Charlie Alcaraz, Tierno Barry, Mark Travers, Adam Azno and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall this summer, and bringing in Jack Grealish on loan from Manchester City, Everton has made another move to complete the Welsh international as the team's seventh signing this summer.  

Tom King joins Merseyside with extensive experience in the English Football League and Premier League. His career has included spells at Millwall, Newport County, Salford City, Northampton Town and Wolves, with loan spells at Welling United, Braintree Town, Stevenage and Wimbledon.  

In 2021, Tom King scored a goal with a long shot of 96.01 meters when representing Newport in the game against Cheltenham Town, setting the world record for the longest shot goal in competitive football history, breaking the record previously held by former Everton goalkeeper Asmir Begovic during his time at Stoke City.  

Tom King made his international debut in a friendly against Gibraltar in June 2024. The 30-year-old goalkeeper had previously played for Wolves for two seasons and made his Premier League debut against Brentford in May 2025.  

After signing for Everton, Tom King expressed his excitement about joining the club. He said: "Ever since I learned that Everton was interested in signing me, this has been on my mind. The team already has two top goalkeepers, Jordan Pickford and Mark Travers, as well as young Harry Taylor. My responsibility is to constantly motivate them in training and improve the overall competitive atmosphere."
