Another crucial match in the 2025/26 Premier League season will take place as Manchester City travels to Elland Road to face newly promoted Leeds United. Pep Guardiola stated that the players have had a good rest and are therefore ready for this highly anticipated game.

Manchester City secured a 2-1 home victory against Newcastle United in their last league match, thanks to a brace from Nico Aurelli. With this third consecutive win, City currently sit second in the table with 56 points, five points behind leaders Arsenal.

As for Leeds United, Daniel Falk's team is in 15th place in the standings with 31 points, still fighting to avoid relegation.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said, "Elland Road is as good as ever, and Daniel Falk has been leading the team to great results recently. They got good results against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and Aston Villa at Villa Park, plus the support of the home fans, but we are ready to take on the challenge again."

Looking back at the first leg of this season, Manchester City defeated Leeds United 3-2 thanks to goals from Foden and Gwadiol.

Guardiola pointed out, "I haven't been to Elland Road many times in the last 10 years. We've played there since Marcelo Bielsa led them to promotion to the Premier League. It's a stadium with a great atmosphere, and we know that very well. There are many traditional and excellent stadiums in the Premier League, and Elland Road is one of them."
