Atalanta officially announced on Monday that Polish midfielder Nikola Zalewski has transferred from Inter Milan. The two sides signed a five-year contract, which is valid until June 30, 2030.

Officials also confirmed that Zalewski will wear the No. 59 jersey in Atlanta. As for his transfer fee, it is reported to be around 17 million euros.

It is worth noting that Inter Milan bought Zalewski from Roma for €6.3 million about a month ago. Other sources said that Zalewski's annual salary in Atlanta is €1.6 million.

The 23-year-old Zalewski primarily plays as a left midfielder, but can also play at left wing, right midfielder, attacking midfielder, and left back. He came through the Roma youth system and made his first-team debut on May 6, 2021, replacing Pedro in the Europa League semi-final.

During his time at Roma, Zalewski made 123 appearances, contributing 2 goals and 9 assists, winning the UEFA Europa League in the 2021/22 season. He has been loaned to Inter Milan since February this year and has made 17 appearances, scoring 1 goal and providing 1 assist.

After completing the transfer, Zalewski said: "I am very happy to be here and to start this new journey, to be part of this great team and this great club.
