The Club World Cup is about to be held in the United States. Manchester City star Jack Grealish has expressed his anticipation for the new competition system and believes that it will be an incredible football event.

This year's Club World Cup will be expanded to 32 teams for the first time and will officially start next month. Manchester City is in the same group as Wydad Sport, Al Ain FC and Juventus to compete for a place in the knockout stage. The competition will eventually come to an end on July 13, when the first world champion under the new competition system will be decided.

Recently, Grealish was interviewed and mentioned the Club World Cup. He said: "This is completely different from the previous Club World Cup. Now you have to face 32 teams from all over the world. The group stage and knockout stage system, I have never seen such an arrangement. To be honest, I think this will be an unforgettable experience."

"I had the honor of playing in the World Cup for England, which was very impressive. Although this Club World Cup is different, I believe it will be just as exciting. Each of us is very much looking forward to it and hopes to perform well on the field."

Looking back at the last Club World Cup in December 2023, Grealish also played with the team. At that time, Manchester City defeated Urawa Red Diamonds and Fluminense in Saudi Arabia and won the Club World Cup trophy for the first time. He recalled: "The Fluminense we faced were very strong, and their style of play was completely different from what we are used to."
