With the Premier League already in its seventh round, Everton defender Jack O'Brien offered a positive assessment of the team's start. He said: "We set clear goals from the start of the season, and it's a good start. While there have inevitably been challenges along the way, that's part of the process of growth. The team is steadily moving in the right direction, and everything is full of optimism and hope. Now, we hope to continue working hard to improve our position in the standings."  

Talking about the goals for this season, Jack O'Brien made it clear: "One of our goals is to enter the Champions League. The team is strong and fully capable of achieving this goal. The key is to maintain consistent performance throughout the season. Although the season has just started, we have put in a lot of effort in training and the overall atmosphere is very positive."  

He believes this season marks the beginning of a new chapter, with a noticeable shift in the team's atmosphere and mentality. He said, "The arrival of the head coach has been a huge help, and the new signings have been a positive influence. The players are working well together, and the overall team atmosphere is excellent. When everyone gives their all, it's extremely beneficial to the club's development."  

Talking about the team's unity, Jack O'Brien said: "Our team is very united. Even in the face of difficulties, we can support each other and work together. I think this is the closest team I have ever had in my career. There are many truly responsible people in the team and the club. They lend a hand when you need help, and they also urge everyone to maintain high standards."  

As a regular at right-back, Jack O'Brien admits he enjoys the challenges of the position. He said, "As long as I can play, I'll continue to strive to improve and learn new skills. As someone accustomed to playing center back, the right-back position complements that perfectly. I know I still have a lot to improve, and experience and game opportunities will help me grow. I've already played over 20 games for Everton, so I have plenty of time to prove my worth."  

Looking back on his positional changes on the field, he revealed: "I started out as a striker, then moved to midfield. When I was 14 or 15, a central defender was injured, so I temporarily filled in for him. Since then, I have been playing as a central defender. Now I have transitioned to right back, and I am really enjoying this new challenge."  

As a young defender who is about to turn 24, Jack O'Brien looked back on his growth path and said: "Yes, my growth trajectory may be different from others, but I won't change it. Everyone's career is unique. I have gained a lot from the experience of living in different countries and playing in different leagues. All of this has made me who I am today. Since I was young, I have always been open to opportunities and tried my best to seize them. Now that I am here, I will continue to do my best to continuously improve myself and contribute to the team."
