West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen has admitted that he and his teammates need to turn things around as soon as possible. West Ham suffered a 0-3 away defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday and remain four points behind the safety zone in the Premier League standings. The team's attempt to end an eight-game winless streak has been marred by this setback.  

John Arias broke the deadlock for the home side just four minutes into the game at Molineux Stadium, followed by a penalty from Hwang Hee-chan and another goal from Matthäus Mane, widening the gap between the two sides before halftime. Although West Ham improved in the second half, with Jarrod Bowen scoring a goal from a spectacular bicycle kick, he admitted the team's overall performance was poor and that he had set too many goals for himself.  

Jarrod Bowen said: "Today's game was very tough. We knew beforehand that we would be facing a team that has been in very good form recently. They have played very well away against strong teams like Liverpool and Manchester United. I've been here for several years and I know how important it is to stay focused during a game."  

“Sometimes when players are not in good form, but as long as they persevere, it is difficult for the opponent to beat them, thus giving them a chance to win the game. However, today we conceded very poorly, and the opponent used a five-defender formation, which made it very difficult for us to break through their defense.”  

"We hope to play a great game and win, but at the same time we must show a tenacious fighting spirit, and do everything we can to get the ball into the opponent's goal. We can't afford to concede another two or three goals, we must do better."  

Jarrod Bowen and his West Ham United teammates will host Nottingham Forest in an overnight match. Nottingham Forest currently lead West Ham United by one place in the league standings. Captain Jarrod Bowen has made it clear that winning this game is crucial for the team.  

With only three days to recover and prepare, the captain expressed his gratitude to the loyal fans who have always supported the team and expressed his confidence that the team will continue to work hard in the second half of the season to lead the club out of its predicament. Jarrod Bowen added: "We must be very clear about our situation, we understand that very well. We are currently 18th in the Premier League, four points away from safety, and if the season ended today, we would face relegation."
