For the Knicks, Bridges scored 19 points and Brunson 12 , but their overall low shooting percentage prevented them from mounting a successful comeback.

In the first quarter, the Pistons, led by Cunningham's 10 points, gradually took the lead and widened the gap. At the end of the first quarter, the Pistons led 28-17 .
