Jokic talks about the future: My plan is to stay with the Nuggets

On September 30th , at the new season media day, Denver Nuggets core player Nikola Jokic publicly responded to speculation that he had not signed a contract extension this summer. The three-time MVP bluntly stated that he planned to "stay with the Nuggets forever," using the most direct way to appease worried fans.
Jokic is currently in the third season of a five-year contract with the Nuggets. If he re-signs this summer, he can get a maximum of three years and $212 million; however, if he waits until 2026 , he is expected to sign a maximum contract of up to $292 million.
