Former FlyQuest mid laner Toucouille announced on Tuesday through his official X (Twitter) account that he has recovered from a brain disease and plans to return to the professional League of Legends esports scene as a full-time player.

"After three months of treatment, I'm can play League of Legends for 10 hours a day again every day," Toucouille wrote in the tweet.

"Now I dream of becoming a professional player again. I'll dedicate myself to training over the next few weeks to see how far I can go."

"Life has given me another chance to fulfill my dream, and I won't miss it."

The news of Toucouille's return was met with an immediate and enthusiastic response from fans, with FlyQuest congratulating the player with "The Return of a King."

Many fans also expressed their hope that Toucouille would join paiN.

About Toucouille

The 24-year-old Toucouille was born in France on May 1, 2001. He  began playing professional League of Legends e-sports in 2017 as a mid laner.

Toucouille played for Beyond the Rift, Made in France, Supremacy, and IziDream in his early years. In 2020, while playing for GamersOrigin, he helped the team achieve a runner-up finish at the LFL Grand Finals.

In January of the following year, Toucouille joined GameWard.

During this time, he was named MVP of the 2021 LFL Summer.

In November 2021, Toucouille joined FlyQuest.

During this time, he was selected to the All-Pro Second Team and the All-Pro Third Team in the 2022 LCS Spring and Summer, respectively.

In December 2022, Toucouille joined Team GO.

During this time, he helped the team win the 2023 Coupe de France and achieve a top-8 finish in the 2023 EMEA Masters Summer.

In December of the following year, Toucouille joined Keyd Stars, and has since focused on developing his professional career in Brazil. 

During his time with Keyd Stars, Toucouille helped the team achieve third place in the 2024 CBLOL Split 1.

Last April, Toucouille joined Ilha das Lendas, a team founded by former Brazilian support player Baiano. During his time there, he helped the team win several small qualifiers.

In May of this year, Toucouille revealed he had been diagnosed with rare brain disease, Chiari Malformation, which caused him to experience severe headaches even when chatting or laughing. He announced that he would be taking a break from his professional career as player to become a live streamer.

Last month, Toucouille provided fans with an update on his condition, stating that he had flown back to France for medical treatment but returned disappointed. However, with the careful treatment of local doctors in Brazil, his condition has improved by "70%."
