Premier League club Manchester City announced that young midfielder Jacob White has reached an agreement with Norwich City on a permanent transfer and officially joined the Championship team.

White previously played for Norwich City on loan in the second half of the 2024-25 season and performed well in 15 games, helping the team finish mid-table in the Championship.

The 19-year-old White was born in Manchester. He joined Manchester City's youth training system at the age of 8 and grew up all the way, eventually signing a scholarship contract in 2022. White performed well in the U18 team in the 2022-23 season and helped the team win the U18 Premier League championship.

With this outstanding performance, White was promoted to Manchester City's development team (EDS) in the 2023-24 season and quickly became a core member of the team, playing 30 times as a midfielder. This not only won White recognition from young players, but also earned him a chance to play in the first team.

In January 2024, White made his first-team debut as a substitute against Huddersfield in the FA Cup, and a few months later he featured in the Champions League last 16 against Copenhagen, further proving his ability to compete in big games.

However, White later recovered from his injury and played in Manchester City's two League Cup games at the start of the 2024-25 season. Subsequently, White was loaned to Norwich City in February 2025 and quickly adapted to the team's rhythm.
