Matty Sifuentes praised his team's outstanding performance in the first half, which helped Leicester City secure a 3-1 victory over Derby County. He also commended the team's efforts throughout the 90 minutes at Pride Park. The manager was very pleased with the team's performance, believing they showed the determination to recover from their losing streak, controlling the tempo early in the game and holding their ground to successfully thwart Derby County's comeback attempt.  

The coach said, "I am very happy for the players, and all the credit belongs to them. I am also happy for our fans, who played exceptionally well throughout the game. This is exactly the start we wanted, and the response we desired."  

"This is exactly the level of performance we hoped to achieve. The team performed excellently, able to withstand pressure from the opponent and cope with teams that take an aggressive approach and mark one-on-one. We showed good fluidity, actively pushing forward, breaking through the defense, and advancing. Therefore, I am very satisfied. Against a very good and well-coordinated team, we played exceptionally well in the first half."  

Leicester City's counter-attacking prowess was particularly impressive against Derby County, and Matty Sifuentes stated that the team must adapt to the various conditions of the Championship this season. He pointed out: "We've been discussing this issue constantly, and the team's tactical style must be clear and defined. We want to control the game through possession and launch high-pressing attacks, while maintaining a high level of performance in any situation."  

"The Championship will test a team's ability to cope with different situations. Sometimes you need to perform well on the counter-attack because there are often spaces and opportunities; sometimes you need to create threats behind the opponent's defense. I think that although the second half did not quite meet expectations, the team showed the ability to remain competitive in the low block."
