Bournemouth officially announced on Wednesday that Djordje Petrovic has joined from Chelsea on a five-year contract that will run until June 30, 2030.

According to multiple media reports, the transfer fee was 25 million pounds.

The 25-year-old Djordje Petrovic is a 1.94-meter Serbian goalkeeper who previously played for Kukaric, IMT and New England Revolution. In August 2023, he moved from New England Revolution to Chelsea for £14 million on a seven-year contract.

During his time with the Blues, Petrovic made 31 appearances and kept seven clean sheets. Last season, he was loaned to Chelsea's satellite club Strasbourg, where he kept 10 clean sheets in 31 games.

After completing the signing, Bournemouth's president of football operations, Thiago Pinto, said: "I am very pleased to bring Djordje to the club. In today's transfer market, signing a player of his quality is an opportunity we cannot miss, especially considering the importance of the goalkeeping position."
