Paris Saint-Germain announced on its official website on Tuesday that the club has signed Ukraine international center-back wonderkid Illia Zabarnyi from Bournemouth.
According to PSG's official statement, Zabarnyi has signed on a long-term five-year deal which runs until the summer of 2030. He will also wear the number 6 jersey.
In addition, according to French media outlet RMC Sport's resident renowned transfer journalist Fabrice Hawkins, the reigning Ligue 1 and Champions League champions paid the Cherries a transfer fee of €66 million to sign Zabarnyi.
After completing his signing procedures, Zabarnyi, who was interviewed by the Paris Saint-Germain official website for the first time, sai:: "I am delighted to join Paris Saint-Germain, the best club in the world with the best projects. I will give my all here and look forward to my debut and meeting the fans."
Notably, with this transfer, Zabarnyi and four other players from Bournemouth's defense last season – left wing-back Milos Kerkez (Liverpool), center-back Dean Huijsen (Real Madrid), and goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga (Arsenal) – have now left the club.

Zabarnyi, 22, was born on September 1, 2002, in Kyiv, Ukraine. He is 1.89 meters tall and plays as a center-back.
Zabarnyi joined Dynamo Kyiv's youth academy at a young age and completed his Dynamo Kyiv first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in September 2020.
During his two-and-a-half-year spell with Dynamo Kyiv, Zabarnyi won the Ukrainian Premier League, the Ukrainian Cup, and the Ukrainian Super Cup once each with the club.
On the 2023 winter transfer window deadline day, Zabarnyi joined Bournemouth for £24 million.
During his two-and-a-half-year spell with the Cherries, Zabarnyi made 86 appearances in all competitions for the Premier League club, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
