Huddersfield Town officially announced that 19-year-old Chelsea attacking midfielder Leo Castledine has officially joined the team on loan for a period of one season.

In an interview with the club's official website, Castleday said: "I believe I can be a threat in the frontcourt and I am very excited to join such a project with clear goals."

Castleday also revealed that he was determined to join the team after speaking with head coach Lee Grant: "After one phone call I knew this was where I wanted to come."

"The head coach explained the project plan to me and emphasized that the team should not only focus on quality but also on recruiting the right people. I really appreciate this."

"The timing of his signing before the start of the season is perfect and will help him integrate into the team quickly. I am excited that this transfer has been completed and I look forward to starting this new challenge immediately."

Castleday, who previously trained in Chelsea's youth system, has drawn attention for his versatile skills and strong attacking awareness. He said: "One of my characteristics is that I fight with all my might. I hope to create threats in the frontcourt and show my aggressiveness."

With the arrival of Castleday and the previous transfer window, Huddersfield Town is actively preparing for the new season, aiming for the top of League One.
