Philipp Jorgensen is looking forward to the FIFA Club World Cup, which he believes will be a special experience and hopes Chelsea can prove they are as good as any of the world's top teams.  

The goalkeeper and his team-mates have arrived in the United States for the new Club World Cup format, with Chelsea starting their first training session at their group stage training camp in Pennsylvania ahead of their opening game against Los Angeles Football Club in Atlanta.  

After the successful completion of the 2024-25 season, in which Enzo Maresca led Chelsea to fourth place in the Premier League, qualified for the UEFA Champions League and won the League Cup, Philipp Jorgensen is excited to return to the pitch and is ready to prove with his teammates that the team is one of the world's top teams.  

Philip Jorgensen said: "I am very much looking forward to this match. It will be an exciting duel and a battle about who is the best player in the world. Such matches are always exciting and we will enjoy it to the fullest and hope to win the championship in the end."  

"This means a lot to us. This year, the Premier League teams have performed strongly, many teams have fought hard in the Champions League, and even two teams have successfully advanced to the Europa League final, which fully demonstrates the fierce competitiveness of the league. I know this and I believe we have the ability to compete with these teams. We are fully capable of this game."  

"It's completely different from the Premier League. There are many new challenges in the Club World Cup. We haven't played against Los Angeles Football Club or Tunisia Hope Football Club. The only game we played against Flamengo was a friendly in 1998, when Gianluca Vialli led us to win.  

"In any case, we will try to analyze the opponents as much as possible through video and study the players we may face. Compared with other European teams, we know and follow these opponents less, so the challenge will be more difficult. However, we will study the opponents as much as possible before the game and try to play our best in the game."  

The tournament also brought a bit of nostalgia to our goalkeepers. Chelsea last visited the United States last summer, on a pre-season tour for the 2024 campaign. It was during that trip to the United States that Philipp Jorgensen completed his move from Villarreal and made his debut as a Chelsea player.  

Philip Jorgensen reviewed his first season at Chelsea and shared his feelings and experiences. He said: "Joining a new team always brings some challenges. You are not familiar with your teammates and you have to do your best to understand your new teammates and adapt to the tactical system of the team and the coach."
