Bundesliga powerhouse RB Leipzig has officially announced the signing of Danish striker Konrad Harder. The 20-year-old joins from Portuguese champions Sporting Lisbon on a long-term contract that runs until 2030.
The 1.93-meter-tall Danish striker initially began his professional career at Nordsjælland in the Danish First Division before joining Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon in 2024. Last season, Konrad Harder helped the team win the Portuguese Super League and Portuguese Cup double, scoring 11 goals and providing 7 assists in all competitions, a remarkable performance.
Sporting director Marcel Schäfer said: "Konrad Harder's signing fits perfectly with our tactical system. He possesses excellent physical qualities, mental toughness and a strong desire to attack. He also has exceptional speed, a very dangerous left foot and extensive international experience."
"His physicality, tactical awareness and abundant energy have injected new energy into our offensive system. We are confident that he can quickly integrate into the team and achieve new breakthroughs in his career."
Konrad Harder said: "I am very much looking forward to joining RB Leipzig and taking on this new challenge. The Bundesliga is one of the world's top leagues, and I hope to continue to improve here and prove my ability. My goal is to score as many goals as possible for the team and contribute to achieving our collective goals. RB Leipzig's style of play is passionate and aggressive, which is highly consistent with my personal playing style."
"Several players from Scandinavia have already achieved great success at RB Leipzig. Yussuf Poulsen and Emil Forsberg are great role models. I hope to follow in their footsteps. I'm really looking forward to performing for the fans at the Red Bull Arena and giving my all for the team."
