Lens announced on Wednesday that they have extended the contract of Montenegrin midfielder Andrea Bratovic. The new contract extends the original 2028 expiry date by two years, until June 30, 2030.
Bratovic was born in Kolahim in northern Montenegro and just turned 19 last December. He previously played for Shakhtar Pljevlja and Buduknost in Montenegro before officially joining Lens in July 2025 for €1.7 million.
To date, Bratovic has made 14 appearances for Lens, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist. He also officially joined the Montenegrin national team last June, making 6 appearances and contributing 1 goal.
Currently, Bratovic is a key rotation player under Lens coach Pierre Sager. He has also received high praise from Lens sporting director Jean-Louis Lecce: "The club is delighted to continue working alongside Bratovic. He is still a talent to be refined, but in just a few months he has realized the potential he showed before joining, earning a place in the rotation and being selected for the Montenegrin national team. He is not only full of potential, but also has a sunny personality, a positive attitude, is hardworking, and has a strong team spirit."
“He will continue to receive the full support of head coach Pierre Sager and his teammates on his path to growth. This contract extension is one of our initiatives to create a long-term future together,” Leca concluded.
