Sasha Karadzic admitted that he broke down and cried during his most recent injury, but he has passed the most difficult stage and is now focused on returning to the court with a positive attitude and a smile. The player unfortunately missed the entire 2024-25 season due to injury. However, he has been actively accelerating his recovery progress on the training ground recently and is now eager to make up for the lost game time.
The 27-year-old admitted that his latest injury has been a huge mental challenge for him, but now, Sasha Karadzic sees hope and will focus on recovery and look forward to enjoying football again next season.
Sasha Karadzic said: "I'm fine. This season has been extremely difficult both mentally and physically. Some people say that at least you know what to expect, but in reality it's been very challenging. I know how difficult the road ahead will be. When I learned the diagnosis, I cried and was broken-hearted. I couldn't express it and couldn't understand why this happened again. But fortunately, the difficulties are over and I am recovering gradually."
“I feel really good, I’ve played in a few friendlies and got some valuable minutes. I’m really happy with that. My body feels strong and my knee is healing really well. I’ve worked really hard for this and now I’m looking forward to the future.”
Regarding returning to the grass, the player said: "To be honest, I'm not particularly excited. Because I have lost the opportunity to play on the field, I don't have high expectations. I insist on training every day, and when I stand on the grass again, I really realize what I have been through. I am grateful and happy to be able to return to the field, and I will do my best to maintain this state."
“I’ve been working hard day after day and week after week. I’ve taken every day of training and recovery very seriously, trying to do my best and strive to reach the highest level. It’s been a long road, but now I can turn my attention to things other than recovery. Now I can focus on training every day and having fun on the court with my teammates, which is what I look forward to in the future.”
“Every day when I come to the training ground, I know I have to do rehabilitation training and go to the gym, but this is not the reason why I came here. Now I feel very happy. Every time I drive to training, I look forward to training with my teammates and enjoying playing football again because I love this sport.”
“My goal is to complete a full pre-season of high quality to lay a solid foundation for next season. I hope to get as much playing time and game experience as possible. I don’t set any specific goals for goals or assists, but I believe that as long as I play at my best, the corresponding performance and contribution will come naturally.”
"So I'm looking forward to playing and enjoying the process, keeping myself healthy mentally and physically. If I can do that, the rest will follow. As for next season, my goal is to complete a full season and have a full pre-season to lay a solid foundation for the season."
