Eintracht Frankfurt will travel to the BayArena to face Leverkusen on Matchday 3 of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season. In an interview, Topmüller expressed his deep sense that the players are eager to return to the pitch and compete alongside each other.

In the previous league match, Frankfurt defeated Hoffenheim 3-1 away, thanks to a brace from Ritsu Doan and a goal from Can Uzun. With two consecutive wins, Frankfurt currently sits in second place in the standings with six points, and will also qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

It is worth mentioning that Ten Hag was fired after coaching Leverkusen for two games, and Kasper Juerman from Denmark was appointed as the new head coach of Leverkusen earlier.

Frankfurt coach Topmuller said, "We know how difficult this away game will be and the challenges that come with it. But we are well prepared and very much looking forward to it. We can also feel that the players are very happy to be back on the court and play side by side."
