Tottenham Hotspur have announced that they have reached an agreement with Bayern Munich for the permanent transfer of Matisse Terre, who joined the club on loan in February this year until the end of the season with an option to buy.  

Now, Tottenham have reached an agreement with Bayern Munich for the striker to sign a long-term contract that will run until 2031, with his current loan contract set to officially end on June 30.  

Matthijs Terr made his debut as a substitute against Liverpool in the League Cup, and then made his first start in the Emirates Cup against Aston Villa, scoring his first goal. His first Premier League goal came from the penalty spot in a 3-1 win against Southampton in April this year. The versatile player made 20 appearances in all competitions last season, contributing 3 goals.  

Currently, Matisse is representing France at the 2025 European Under-21 Championship, alongside his Tottenham team-mate Wilson Odobale.  

Matisse Tell was born in 2005 in Sarcelles, a suburb north of Paris. As a teenager, he played for several local clubs and entered the famous Clairefontaine youth training academy in the Ile-de-France region with his outstanding performance.  

His first adult season reached its peak. As captain, he led the French team to win the 2022 European U17 Championship. In the process of winning the championship, he scored 3 goals and helped the team win the third championship trophy in the history of the event. His outstanding performance attracted the attention of the entire European football world. In the summer of the same year, Bayern Munich brought him to Germany and started a new professional journey.  

Matisse Terre quickly emerged in Bayern Munich and became the club's youngest scorer in the history of the German Football Association Cup, successfully breaking the record held by Jamal Musiala. Matisse Terre has the ability to play a role in multiple positions in the frontcourt. He shows a strong spirit of confrontation and is good at using his speed and body balance to display his personal skills.
