Augsburg officially announced on Thursday that Troyes winger Kylian Don will join the club as a free agent after his contract expires this summer. The two parties signed a five-year contract until June 30, 2030.
Kylian Don, who is only 20 years old, was born in the suburbs of Paris and has dual French and Cameroonian citizenship. He joined Troyes' youth training system in 2018 and made his professional debut for the first team in the first round of Ligue 1 on August 7, 2022.
So far, Kylian Don has played 57 times for Troyes, including 6 Ligue 1 games, 47 Ligue 2 games and 4 French Cup games. During this period, he has scored 4 goals and provided 4 assists.
As Augsburg's first signing this summer, Kilian Don said excitedly after signing: "The talks went very smoothly from the beginning. I am also looking forward to meeting the challenges in the Bundesliga and spending a good time with everyone. I very much want to join Augsburg because the club is ambitious and can provide the best training and development opportunities for young players. I will devote myself to it with full enthusiasm and can't wait to put on the Augsburg jersey this summer."
Augsburg sporting director Malenko Jurentić said: "We have been following Kylian's development for some time and are delighted that he will move to Augsburg this summer. As a French U20 international, Kylian has shown good personal development prospects with his energy and dribbling ability, and has the potential to become a Bundesliga player. We look forward to working with Kylian and wish him a good start at Augsburg and more success in the future."
