The "Red and Black Army" AC Milan will participate in a friendly match against Premier League giants Arsenal at the Singapore National Stadium. Coach Allegri said at a press conference that AC Milan's primary goal in the new season is to qualify for the Champions League and hopes to build a better team through pre-season games.

In the 2024/25 Serie A season, AC Milan achieved 18 wins, 9 draws and 11 losses, and finally only finished 8th, so it missed the opportunity to participate in European competitions in the new season.

It is worth mentioning that Allegri coached AC Milan from 2010 to 2014, and became the head coach of AC Milan again at the end of May this year.

When talking about the feeling of returning to coach AC Milan, Allegri said: "This time the situation is completely different from 15 years ago. Not only has football changed, but the whole world has changed. The positive thing about not being able to participate in the Champions League is that we will have more time to polish the team and improve performance, but the negative is that we can't compete on the highest stage."

I have full confidence in my players because I think this is a team full of talent and a good mentality. Pre-season preparation is very important for mutual understanding and training. We are just a 'team', so we must become a real 'team' as soon as possible."

Allegri stressed, "Our primary goal is to return to the Champions League, which is certainly not easy, because the competition in Serie A is very fierce and there are many excellent teams. I came back here with full enthusiasm, but we must focus on achieving our goals, because only by achieving our goals can we have a successful season. We are AC Milan and we must participate in European competitions. This is our goal in the new season."

Allegri also said, "This is my second time in Singapore. It's a great city. There are many AC Milan fans here and we are very grateful for their warm welcome. Next we will face Arsenal.
