Marco Silva has been committed to breaking Fulham's Premier League points record since leading the team to promotion, so the victory over Brentford made him particularly happy.

This is one of the important directions this season and it is what we have been working hard for. Since the season two years ago, we have been very close to this goal. It is always the direction we constantly emphasize and strive for.

“It’s always a special feeling to win a game like a derby. It was a passionate game and the players bounced back from a very difficult weekend for us. We lost to Everton in a disappointing way and we felt guilty about that defeat because we knew it was a game we should have won.
