Multiple media outlets report that Salah has returned to the Liverpool squad after communicating with Sloth and is expected to play against Brighton.

According to multiple media outlets including The TA, The Times, and The Daily Telegraph, Mohamed Salah has been recalled to the Liverpool squad. He will play in Saturday's Premier League match against Brighton at Anfield, before heading to the Egyptian national team.

Sources have confirmed that Salah's return stems from a face-to-face meeting this morning with head coach Arne Sloot. Sloot sees this move as necessary to protect the club's overall interests, especially with several players sidelined due to injury.

As for Salah's future destination, Liverpool and Salah's agent, Rami Abbas, will hold discussions after the Africa Cup of Nations. If Salah insists on a transfer this winter, he will need to present a concrete proposal to Liverpool.

GMS journalist Ben Jacobs added that Liverpool wants Salah to fulfill his contract until 2027, but still fully supports Sloot's decision. Removing Salah from the squad against Inter Milan was seen as a pragmatic move, but Liverpool did not want to escalate the conflict further, and Salah has not received any formal punishment or fine.

Salah has made 19 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 5 goals and providing 3 assists. After being excluded from the starting lineup by Sloet in the last three matches, he publicly expressed his dissatisfaction after last weekend's game against Leeds United: "I feel like the club has pushed me into a fire pit. I think it's obvious that someone wants me to take all the blame."

“I received many promises this summer, but I’ve been on the bench for three consecutive games so far, and they clearly haven’t kept their word. I’ve repeatedly emphasized that I have a good relationship with the manager, but now we suddenly have no contact at all. I don’t know why. It seems to me that someone doesn’t want me to stay at the club.”

Liverpool responded to Salah's comments by excluding him from their Champions League squad for the match against Inter Milan. They also secured a 1-0 away victory against Inter Milan thanks to a late penalty.

The 33-year-old Salah previously played for Arab contractors, Basel, Chelsea, Fiorentina, and Roma before transferring to Liverpool in June 2017 for £43 million. To date, he has made 420 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 250 goals and providing 116 assists, winning one Champions League title, one Club World Cup title, two Premier League titles, one UEFA Super Cup title, one FA Cup title, three League Cup titles, and one Community Shield title with the team.

According to Ben Jacobs, the Saudi league and MLS remain interested in Salah. However, Saudi clubs may face financial constraints in their transfer dealings: with their season budgets already allocated, they were unable to secure funding from the Players for Excellence Centre (PACE) when they approached Salah in January.
