Cordoba Football Club announced that goalkeeper Iker Alvarez has officially become a member of the first team. He has signed a 2-year contract with the club.  

Iker Alvarez was born on July 25, 2001 in Andorra City. He is a goalkeeper with outstanding height. He is widely recognized for his excellent high-altitude ball control ability, quick reaction in front of the goal and good footwork. Iker Alvarez has joined Villarreal's youth training camp since he was 15 years old and has been promoted to the club's second team.  

The 23-year-old goalkeeper has extensive professional experience and has made 55 appearances in La Liga on behalf of Villarreal's reserve team, demonstrating his competitive maturity and solid goal-line performance.  

Iker Alvarez is a regular member of the Andorra national team and is considered one of the most promising goalkeepers. He has played 32 times for the national team, all as a starter, covering important events such as the World Cup qualifiers, the European Cup qualifiers and the National League.  

It is worth mentioning that under the leadership of Marcelino, Iker Alvarez has always been the third choice of Villarreal's first team.
