Athletic Bilbao and Osasuna have reached an agreement to complete the transfer of Jesus Arezo. The defender has signed a contract that will last until June 30, 2031.  

After playing 86 official games for Osasuna's first team and contributing 11 assists and 1 goal, the in-form defender has now returned to Athletic Bilbao.  

The 26-year-old Jesus Arezo initially started his youth training at Aluvión, an affiliate of Athletic Bilbao, and then entered the Lezama training camp as an U18 player. He has played 52 games for Athletic Bilbao.  

In the 2021-22 season, Jesus Areso returned to Osasuna, initially playing for Burgos Football Club on loan, and then gradually gained a foothold in the Osasuna first team, showing good strength. Jesus Areso is known for his excellent physical fitness and wing running ability, and he will immediately join Athletic Bilbao.  

Jesus Arezo is delighted to be returning to Athletic Bilbao. The right-back said he is looking forward to the "big challenges ahead" and that he is honored to be chosen by such a great club. Although several top teams have expressed strong interest in him, he admits that his decision became a no-brainer when he learned that Athletic Bilbao was interested in signing him.  

The defender said in an interview: "I am very sure that I want to return here. There was almost no hesitation in making this decision. I have fought side by side with many new teammates, which is exactly what I am looking for. I am very encouraged and proud to be trusted by a top club. This is not only an honor, but also a responsibility, and this responsibility will motivate me to constantly improve myself."
