South Korean K League 1 club Jeju SK, announced on its official website on Thursday that the club has signed former Nottingham Forest Portuguese center-back Tobias Figueiredo from Campeonato Brasileiro Série B club Fortaleza.
According to Jeju SK's official statement, Figueiredo has signed a on a short-term two-year deal with the club which will only run until the winter of 2028.
With this transfer, Figueiredo becomes the second former Nottingham Forest player to move to the K League 1 in the past two years.
The other player is obviously England international attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard, who joined FC Seoul on a free transfer two years ago.
After completing his transfer procedures, Figueiredo, who was interviewed by the Jeju SK official website for the first time, said: "Hello everyone, I am very honoured and excited to join Jeju SK. Coming to Korea is a brand new and important challenge for me in my career. I look forward to experiencing a different football culture, meeting new teammates, and feeling the incredible passion of the fans."

About Tobias Figueiredo
The 32-year-old Figueiredo was born on February 2, 1994, in Sátão, Viseu, Portugal. He is 1.88 meters tall and plays as a center-back. His older brother, Cristiano, is also a professional footballer, playing as a goalkeeper for Portuguese second-division club Felgueiras.
Figueiredo joined the youth academy of Penalva do Castelo at the age of 10, along with his brother. Two years later, he joined the youth academy of Sporting Clube de Portugal, started playing for their B team in August 2012.
In January 2014, Figueiredo was loaned-out to Spanish non-league club Reus.
Upon returning to the club following the end of his loan spell that summer, Figueiredo completed his Sporting Clube de Portugal first-team debut in January 2015.
During his time with Leões, Figueiredo helped the team achieve the Portuguese Primeira Liga and the Portuguese Super Cup Double.
The following summer, Figueiredo was loaned-out to Nacional da Madeira. However, during this loan spell, he unfortunately failed to help the club avoid relegation.
On the 2018 winter transfer window deadline day, Figueiredo joined Nottingham Forest on-loan.
After helping the club successfully avoid relegation, his ownership was permanently bought out that summer.
During his five-year stint at Forest, Figueiredo helped the club win the EFL Championship promotion play-offs, making a significant contribution to their return to the Premier League after 23 years.
After his contract expired in the summer of 2022, Figueiredo joined Hull City as a free agent.
The following July, Figueiredo joined Fortaleza for €1 million.
However, due to foreign player registration restrictions, Figueiredo rarely got playing time.
For the past two years, Figueiredo has been successively loaned-out to Criciúma and Athletico Paranaense. However, his performances in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B have been lackluster.
